Last night this is how we rang in the new year, cozy and warm at home. Above, my only time leaving the house for the day, was to run to the grocery store to buy ice cream and root beer, black cherry soda (which was my personal favorite), and orange cream (my other fav, it's like a 50/50 bar) to make "New Year's Ice Cream Floats!
Here's the goods I brought home...
And at midnight I glanced out my window and saw hundreds of paper lanterns being sent into the midnight sky, and then I saw the random sparkles of fireworks being shot into sky. I sat watching the paper laterns rising up in the air with their little flames carrying them higher. It was so beautiful to see. There was no place I would've rather been, than cozy on the couch, all safely snug at home...
