Sunday Soul-spiration: Why you need rain and poop

(photo by my good friend and amazing photographer: ian ruhter)

I had spent time doing my hair and make-up.
As my friend, Ian...started to take pictures...
it started to  rain pour.
Instead of stopping our now failed rainy photoshoot ...
Ian kept shooting.
And I like this picture...
my hair doesn't look good...
my shirt is AND hair are soaking wet- neither look good
but that rainy moment, on a hot day...when our "photoshoot idea" had seemed to be ruined...
when you can still smile...
I love that.

Life is like that.
It may feel like problems are raining, no pouring down on us...
but sometimes,
the most beautiful smiles are the ones that still shine when life's hardships are raining down on you the heaviest.

Rainbows are amazing...
and as you know, they only show up after the rain.
It's beauty that promises that the rain will never ruin you....but only beauty will come from the rainy moments of your life.
Sometimes life is like that...something may be so painful that you feel like you can't smile...but your smile, when it does come out, after the rain, is more beautiful than a rainbow.

I love my grandma's saying:

"The most most beautiful flowers will grow out of the manure of your life"- Barbara Johnson

(for anyone that's no familiar with manure...it's pretty much poop)

The more poopy things in your life, the more rainy days you may feel...just means more area for beauty to blossom. It's sunshiney in the dessert all the time, but that doesn't mean it's full of flowers. Everybody needs a little rain and a little poopyness- to grow the beautiful blooms in the garden of your life.

Here's to rain and poopy days....get ready cause some rainbows and flowers are going to bloom....
huge love, your kandee

I love this.
