Outfit Of The Day: Native, Cowboy Belt and Red Shoes

 I love this dress thing- I got it at the Melrose Trading post, you can tie it like, 800 ways, ok that was a bit of a stretch, but it's like what would happen if a scarf and a dress had a baby.

 I have on:
my red Vans, jeans, men's white hanes v-neck t-shirt, Melrose Space Native print dress-shirt-scarfy (that's what I'm calling it.), vintage belt and buckle I've had for years, leather cuff I got a vintage/costume store in Hollywood, turquoise earrings I got from New Mexico (I lived in Santa Fe for year a long time ago).

You can't live wondering if people will like what you are wearing, trying to fit in to the world's boring standard of dressing. Wear one thing that you just love, one thing that makes you feel confident.
like I always say: "You're not living unless someone doesn't like what you're wearing, doing, or dreaming of becoming"....
and to my surprise...
The first place I went after I got dressed and left my house, I got stopped by two people who wanted to tell me they loved my outfit and I had inspired them with my outfit! (how cool it that!?!) The first lady said, "you look awesome and I never use the word awesome!"....I gave her five and told her she made my day!

Life's too short to dress safe and wear beige.....
look at this cool picture of a guy wearing the Melrose Space scarf-dress-shirt-thing as a scarf...and if I was a guy I think I'd wear my hair like his too. (all the fabrics are vintage and one-of-a-kind-pieces)

have fun when you get dressed and remember everywhere you go it's your stage to express your style and creativity....don't dress like the rest...dress like what you love, your kandee
