I will admit that I am a little embarrassed to say the names of a few make-up products. Especially if you're going to do a tutorial and use a product called "orgasm"... After all, I'm doing make-up not an adult film...ha ha ha
Now, no matter who decided to name these, these names... who knows, they thought it was funny, it was part of a marketing gimmick..it just has and will continue to make me embarrassed. I know, insert my granny glasses and floor length denim skirt and turtleneck...I'll go grab my dentures in a minute and finish typing this. Yes "naughty" words like that embarrass me, especially when asking a salesgirl for it, asking "do you have the G-Spot Stick?"....just doesn't sound right to me! ha ha ha
So up above is the New Multiple Stick from NARS- yep, you can use it on your eyes, cheeks and lips...and it's called, I am turning red as I type this: NARS The Multiple in G-spot
François Nars' iconic innovation,
the original multi-purpose stick for eyes, cheeks, lips and body. Contours, gives amazing highlight is creamy, dreamy...amazey!
Per Francois instruction: Apply with fingers: the skin’s warmth allows for perfect blending.
Fancy Pants Awards and reasons it won....
this is the newest color: LAGUNA (sells for $39.00, yes this is not your drugstore make-up)Fancy Pants Awards and reasons it won....
- "Best Overall Highlighter” 2011 InStyle "Best Beauty Buys”; Laguna named "Best Bronzer for Fair Skin” 2011 InStyle "Best Beauty Buys”
- Mistake-proof color; quick and easy to apply
- Sheer, natural finish for eyes, cheeks and lips
- Enriched with Vitamin E and açai oil for antioxidant benefits
- yay a name that wouldn't turn me beet red asking for it at Sephora. Tropical, dreamy-pie color...looks like sunset and beaches...can you feel the island breezes and hear the waves crashing?
And the best part, it doesn't have an r-rated name....and R can stand for REALLY-EMBARRASSED! ha ha ha
here's to tame, family-friendly names... kandee (and you bet your lipstick I know a thing or two about getting teased for my name!)
PS.
when I did Miss USA, Rima Fakih's make-up this year, she said how embarrassed she was when someone interviewed her and asked what make-up she had on, and didn't want to say her blush was "Orgasm"...ha ha ha! See what I mean!

I gotta say, the names Nars picks, is the reason I don't buy some of their stuff. It's way too embarrassing.
I've got very curious little kids who are learning how to read, and try to read EVERYTHING. Or they ask what everything says. I don't like some of UD's names either. I'm not going to have them sounding out "Naked", and then asking a million questions. lol
I like how MAC's names aren't embarrassing- or at least nothing I've bought. life is hard wearing awesome makeup. :)
Omg, geeze. Lighten up.
I agree. There's no need for inappropriate names for Make-Up. Leave that for elsewhere. The only solution is to purchase those items online, I guess.
I love Nars products maybe I will just write down what I have on instead of saying it out loud. Lol
I feel like I need to whisper it...lol or play hang man to say it!
